Making it easy for your clients to do business with you

Creating a Viral Marketing Campaign

leave a comment »

This is an example of creating a viral marketing campaign. It make you laugh, it touches your funny bone, and it’s that magic ingredient that causes us to want to share it with our friends. It broke the rules, it invited, engaged, and besides being viral, it actually makes you want to know more and even possibly do business with this company. It takes a boring shopping cart page (and we see hundreds of them and they are all boring) and turns it on its ear.

Turn your SOUND ON

"HEMA" is a Dutch department store. The first store opened on 4th November, 1926, in Amsterdam . Now there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands.

Take a look at HEMA’s product page. Don’t try to order anything (it’s in Dutch anyway), but just wait a couple of seconds and watch what happens. Don’t click on any of the items in the picture, just wait and see what happens. This company has a sense of humour and a paid a great script writer…
